My roommate said she was burning her doctor put dry ice on it. It was painful as hell, but has not returned.
EDIT: just remembered that it does not dry ice, duh! It is liquid nitrogen or something like that. They also use to burn the warts, but it helps.
I believe this is not really the answer you are looking for, because you * more * pain, but what it returns in the long run, never.
